"Music City Live" describes the active and vibrant hub of an exciting Metropolitan Nashville. Likewise, this 2013 pen and ink print shows the integration of newer skyline structures that enhance the downtown blocks south of Broadway (AKA:SoBro) as they blend with the many older and historic center city buildings.
This depiction was created by the artist from a series of his photographs taken from a helicopter that was encircling the core of Music City.
To the left foreground is the new and very impressive Music City Center stretching from 5th Avenue to Rosa L. Parks and Korean Veterans Boulevards round-about. In the middle is the just opened Omni Hotel. Behind these structures are Bridgestone Arena, Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, Hilton Downtown Hotel, Schermerhorn Symphony Center and the lower Broadway / Arts District attractions...all main features of an expanded convention area.
Further in the background are the Tennessee Tower, Renaissance Hotel, State Capitol, Nashville City Center, Tennessee Performing Art Center, Fifth/Third Bank, Viridian Building, Ryman Auditorium (roof), L & C Tower, One Nashville Place/ Regions Bank, AT&T ("Batman") Building, Pinnacle Building, Metro Courthouse and Justice AA Birch Building.
To the extreme right is the Cumberland River and the six bridges that span this scenic and valuable waterway that meanders through Nashville.
