Hired as DuPont’s first photographer, John Dick spent months documenting DuPont’s collaboration with the United States government at various location throughout the country to supply gunpowder during WWI. John was known for seeking the best vantage point for a photo as seen in this collection. He perched from treetops, constructed platforms, and used balloons to capture his photos.
