Back in the early years of the 20th Century, traveling circuses crisscrossed the U.S. One of those fabulous entertainments was “Dr. Hissyfitt’s Cavalcade of Calamity and Side Show Extravaganza.” One of the top draws was the high-dive maestro, the Great Gaston! He claimed to be French, but if you listened real close you could sometimes hear him muttering to himself with a heavy Cajun drawl. Still, he packed them in. Right up until someone thought it would be cute to slip a hungry baby shark in Gaston’s water tank…….
