Originally from Franklin Tennessee, Wayne moved with his family to Donelson where he graduated from McGavock High School. Wayne now resides in Mt. Juliet with his wife Penny.
Although he considers himself a self taught photographer, he has formal training in photography and darkroom finishing.
Wayne’s love for Black and White photography has been inspired by great photographers such as Ansel Adams and Walter Rosenbloom. Continuing in their tradition, all prints are of a silver halide base. Wayne shoots with negative film on a 2-1/4 and 4×5 square format. He personally develops all negatives and prints in a traditional wet darkroom using and archival process and mounted on museum board.
A passion for photography has inspired Wayne to capture the natural beauty that is found within the boundaries of this beautiful nation. Wayne is an avid supported of our National and State Parks and is intent on capturing the majestic beauty each has to offer for future generations. Wayne’s photographs span from the deserts in Santa Fe, New Mexico through the White Mountains of Chocura, New Hampshire to the rocky shoreline of Maine.
